PROTECTION FROM THE ENVIRONMENT IN A SAFE AND NATURAL MANNER:

For youngsters, Thinksport Kids sunscreen for all skin tone delivers efficient SPF 50+ sun protection. The broad spectrum UVA & UVB children’s sunscreen is gentle on children’s sensitive skin and provides everyday protection from the sun’s rays.

EASY APPLICATION: Because kids despise standing still, this moisturising sun cream is simple to apply and provides immediate protection. The children’s sun lotion absorbs quickly and does not leave skin feeling oily or sticky. It also has no unpleasant chemical odour.

Thinksport vegan, Leaping Bunny certified sun lotions include no PABA, parabens, phthalates, BPA, oxybenzone, avobenzone, petroleum, gluten, dairy, or hazardous ingredients, making them the first sunscreen to satisfy Whole Foods Premium Care criteria.

WATER RESISTANT: Your child will be able to safely swim, dive, and play in the water. According to the FDA, our children’s sun cream has the highest water resistance, providing continuous protection for up to 80 minutes in the pool or sea before the sunscreen needs to be reapplied.

REEF FRIENDLY: Safe for kids and the environment. The active component in sunscreen is non-nano Zinc Oxide, and the recipe is extremely biodegradable, non-toxic, and free of any known compounds that are damaging to coral reefs.

Our Backstory

Thinkbaby and Thinksport aim to provide healthy alternatives for everyone from babies to athletes, addressing the growing worry of harmful chemicals seeping from consumer products.

Thinkbaby & Thinksport are leaders in the use of safe materials in consumer products, thanks to a team of physicians and scientists. To make a difference, we don’t wait for materials to make headlines. We continue to add to our product line in order to provide alternatives to the market’s current offerings. Working with leading child advocacy partners and like-minded folks seeking alternative products energises our efforts. Each product is evaluated against the same set of criteria: it must be safe, functional, and long-lasting.

UVA and UVB rays Broad-Spectrum

Consumers have been made to believe that SPFs of 70 and 100 offer significantly greater protection than SPF 30. This is untrue. SPF 30 gives 97 percent UVB protection, while SPF 100 provides 99 percent UVB protection. We always advise people that if they look at the back of the tube and see a bunch of words they don’t recognise, they shouldn’t put it on their skin. It’s critical to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

Formulated with Minerals

Unfortunately, chemical free sunscreens make up the majority of the market. They’re both inexpensive and easy to use. Mineral-based treatments are more expensive and may induce some whitening while in use. But at what cost is it less expensive? Clear zinc or titanium nanoparticles have also been included in some mineral base formulations. We propose looking for a zinc oxide solution that isn’t nano. There is simply not enough information about nanoparticles’ capacity to enter the bloodstream. As a result, it is preferable to follow the precautionary principle.

Resistant to Water

Water resistance is now divided into three categories. Water resistant (40 minutes), not water resistant, and water resistant (80 minutes). Sweatproof and waterproof are terms we’ve all become accustomed to seeing. There are currently tests that are highly specific. Keep in mind that if you’re going to the beach or the pool, you’ll need to reapply sunscreen after you’ve been in the water. You must reapply your sunscreen every two hours to maintain the SPF factor. One application of sunscreen will not maintain you at SPF 50 sunscreen label claims. And 1 oz should be enough to cover an adult’s entire body.

Taking on social responsibilities

We’ve been committed to being socially responsible since the beginning of our organisation. This signifies the following for us:

Make things that are safe. In the creation, packaging, use, and disposal of the product, have the least possible impact on the environment. Connect with non-profit groups that are working to make the world a safer and healthier place.

Thinksocial was created as a way to give consumers the opportunity to choose which non-profits they feel most connected to and wish to financially support. The democratisation of social responsibility is what we call it.

Product description

Thinksport is constantly expanding its objective to produce safe products by discovering consumer product categories that have been linked to human health problems. We target items with high levels of hormone disruptors and carcinogens in particular. The majority of sunscreens on the market today contain potentially harmful chemicals and proven carcinogens. You’ll notice that none of the ingredients are familiar just by looking at them. Many sunscreens on the market today were released with little regard for their safety. Not only can sunscreen compounds interact with skin, but data shows that some of the same chemicals can be found after applying lotions.

Why apply something that could potentially increase the risk of cancer when most people use sunscreen to minimise the risk of cancer? Unfortunately, many people have stopped using sunscreen as a result of this query. According to the FDA’s 2012 Guidelines, Thinksport sunscreen provides the greatest SPF, water resistance (80 minutes), and UVA/UVB protection. Nano (ultra-small) zinc oxide and aerosol spray are not used in the composition. While spraying aerosol is simple, we are worried about the substances used, the risk of breathing the chemicals, and scientific evidence indicating most users used less than the amount required to reach the SPF level.

Since 2010, EWG’s Skin Deep database has given our sunscreen a “1” rating, the highest possible. It’s simple to use and doesn’t leave a greasy behind. As a result, we have a lot of pro athletes and weekend warriors utilising the product because it doesn’t make them feel “heavy.” There will be no animal testing. Our sun care line has also received more awards than any other.

Directions

15 minutes before sun exposure, apply freely. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, as soon as towel drying is complete, and at least every 2 hours.

Question: Is it true that sweating causes your eyes to burn?
Answer: This is a “everyday” sunscreen for when you’re driving to work, walking from your car to work, and so on. If I was going to be outside all day, in the water, doing heavy exercise, etc., I wouldn’t use it. For that, I’d use the Thinksport 50+ body sunscreen. They’re both 20 percent zinc oxide, but the body sunscreen doesn’t have the colour, so it might be less irritating to your eyes when you sweat.
Question: Is this sunscreen considered non-comodegenic?

Answer: I have rosacea, which means my skin is extremely sensitive and prone to rashes, and this is the only sunscreen I can use on my face. In the winter, when I’m paler, I usually blend it with their basic white type. It’ll rub off on the collar of my black coat a little, but that’s better than a broken out face!

Question: Is this product fragrance-free?
Answer: No, it does not have a fragrance. It has a very mild aroma that isn’t “perfumey,” and it disappears rapidly.
Question: Is there an expiration date on the product? If that’s the case, how long does it last?

Answer: I couldn’t find a “expires by” date on it, but there is a “1/17” stamped on the end where the package was sealed and stamped by the maker. If that’s the case, my purchase lasted little over two years before it expired earlier this year.

Question: Is it possible to use this instead of a moisturiser?

Answer: I find it to be more hydrating than the normal Think Sport all-over/body sunscreen. As a result, I’d say sure.

Question: Can this be used as a permanent moisturiser, meaning that it can be used in conjunction with other products?

Answer: I’ve been using this product without difficulties for over a year, occasionally with a light dusting of cosmetic powder for more coverage.

Question: Many tinted sunscreens are far too dark for my pale/fair skin. Is the shade of blue light enough?

Answer: I have naturally ‘dirty’ blonde or sandy blonde hair and fair complexion with a mild pinkish tone, and this sunscreen suits me perfectly. The colour isn’t too dark. It’s thick, so you’ll have to rub it in a little to get it to blend in. It’s an excellent and best sunscreen for me because I live in a continually sunny and warm climate.

Question: Is this a vegan dish?

Answer: Yes, all of our sunscreens with a lotion base are vegan. Because they include beeswax, the sunscreen sticks are not vegan (yet).

Question: Is it possible to wear this under makeup?

Answer: Yes! The Everyday Face is used as a base layer instead of foundation by the majority of our consumers.

Question: Is the zinc oxide nano-sized and uncoated?

Answer: It’s a non-nano zinc, to be sure.

Question: Hello! Can you wear it in the cold to protect yourself from frostbite?

Answer: Because it’s a very mild sunscreen, I don’t think it’ll provide much protection against the cold. It does, however, look great beneath other items!
